About the registry

A public surface for verifiability.

An ecological credit is only meaningful if its origin is verifiable. The Earth Credit Registry is the public surface of that verifiability — the place where any party can read exactly what was measured, where, by whom, against which reference condition, and with what confidence.

What this is

An append-only public ledger of every Earth Credit batch issued by Landseed PBC under EC-M-1.1. Each entry is a complete record: six SEEA EA dimension scores, the penalized geometric mean ECI with its standard error, a three-component threat decomposition with sources, the species and structural data behind the scores, the monitoring infrastructure on site, and the financial picture.

Every entry has a stable permalink. Records are not edited after the fact. If a methodology revision changes how dimensions are scored, that revision produces a new methodology version string and does not retroactively rewrite past entries.

Who can read, who can write

Read access is open to anyone. The full dataset is downloadable as JSON; every detail page is public and indexable. Anyone can also independently verify the integrity of any record against the published ledger root, with no Landseed permission.

Issuance is operated by Landseed PBC alone. New batches are added when EC-M-1.1 produces them at the close of each vintage; existing batches are never edited. This is the standard credit-registry model — Verra, Gold Standard, and the American Carbon Registry all operate the same way — and it is what credits need to have legal and regulatory standing.

What this isn't

It isn't a marketing surface. It isn't an investment prospectus. It isn't a real-time sensor dashboard. It isn't a credit market — the registry only records what was measured; transacting credits is a separate concern.

It also isn't a wall against scrutiny. The whole point is that the data is open. If a number on any record looks wrong, please tell us — we'd rather correct an error in public than carry it forward.

Who it's for

Current state

The ten entries currently in the registry are simulated. They are the pre-minting validation portfolio used to drive EC-M-1.1 end-to-end across grassland, old-growth temperate rainforest, coastal estuary, desert, montane, marine, savanna, mangrove, and high-altitude ecosystems. They are real places (Flint Hills, Hoh Rainforest, ACE Basin, &c.) modeled at realistic ranges with documented sources for every threat component.

As monitoring hardware comes online — Earth Pulse Nodes for continuous in-situ sensing, ground-truth survey events from partner organizations — these simulated entries will be replaced one by one with live assessments. The P01P10 id space will be preserved across that transition.

Provenance and trust

Source code for both the methodology specification and the scoring engine lives in the Landseed forge (forge.aroessner.com/Landseed-PBC). The full dataset behind this registry is downloadable as JSON. The site itself is built and deployed from a public repository on the same forge.

External anchoring of the ledger root to durable public infrastructure begins at the first formal vintage close (see /anchor/). Specific public-chain selections are deliberately deferred. Until external anchoring is in place, the registry's tamper-evidence is the same as any append-only public ledger: the audit trail is the commit history of the source repository, and every record's commitment is independently verifiable against the published ledger root.
